Memory & Storage Architecture Lab
The Memory & Storage Architecture Lab (MSAL, also known as the Archi Lab) was established in 1979 as a research unit of the Computer Engineering Department at Seoul National University. Over the past three decades, MSAL researchers have made pioneering contributions in the areas of embedded systems, real-time systems, computer performance evaluation, and storage systems. We endeavor to pursue beauty and completeness in the architectural design and implementation of modern memory/storage systems. Currently the Lab serves as the focal point for research on the theory, design, and implementation of flash memory-based storage systems.
