PANDA stands for Parallel Architecture and Design Automation and it has been 25 years since its establishment in 1985. The major research field is the design and performance evaluation of large-scale multi-processing system that consists of several processors, memories, I/O subsystem and the multithreaded architecture. Recently multi-processing systems have focused on CMP(Chip-multi processor) which locates a number of CPUs on single die, operating simultaneously. The “memory wall” is a major issue for CMP, and it may be overcome by appropriate cache systems. This is our main research area, and we expect to solve the Memory-wall problem.
