The ultimate goal of computer vision is to extract three-dimensional information, such as object identification, depth and pose estimation relative to the observer, from information about surrounding environment, which will be supplied by various kinds of sensing devices. The goal cann be achieved by processing and analysing these images using techniques covered in this course : Image Acquisition, Camera Calibration, Enhancement, and Transformation. Early Vision and Image Representation . Edge Extraction by using Edge Operators. Extracting Depth Information by Stereo Vision. Photometric Stereo Vision. Model Acquisition. Surface Orientation. Reflectance Map. Motion Detection by Optical Flow Analysis. Three Dimensional Object Recognition.
