In this class, we study the hardware-software codesign methodology which attracts attention of digital system designers of application specific microprocessor systems including SoCs and embedded systems. First of all, formal model of computations and their usage in existent design environment will be discussed. And, we use a codesign environment, called PeaCE, to deepen the understanding of the overal procedure of system design and optimization. PeaCE is based on dataflow and FSM model of computations. Term project that uses PeaCE will be given.
