This is the first database course at the graduate level and covers topics that follow the areas normally included in an introductory course at the undergraduate level. We will cover the more advanced chapters of an introductory database textbook, while the three topics of database design, relational database theory, and deductive database will be given special attention through materials from other textbooks. The official language of this class is English. This means that all lectures, exams, handouts, and announcements will be given in English. Likewise, all reports, presentations, documentations, as well as answers to exams and quizzes should be done in English.There will be a term project and student presentations.
