The computer graphics and image processing laboratory, led by Professor Young-Gil Shin, has been conducting many research projects since its inception in 1992. The focus of current research is on the processing of medical image data including visualization and reconstruction of three dimensional images using data from various medical imaging instruments such as CT, MRI, PET, etc.

Recently we are expanding our research into a new area of inspecting and detecting products using data from industrial CT. Our research successfully recruited collaborations with several research institutes and medical centers. Our research findings have been reported in many research papers and also successfully commercialized in collaboration with a leading venture company in South Korea.
