Technical Account Manager, Google TV
The area: YouTube and Video
The first video posted on YouTube was a 19-second clip called "Me at the Zoo." Today, more than 48 hours of video are uploaded every minute. The YouTube and Video team helps budding filmmakers and musicians build careers, creates products like Google TV and YouTube Live and runs collaborative projects like Life in a Day and the YouTube Symphony Orchestra. We are leading a change in how we entertain, inform and share with one another, whether through cat videos or footage of a revolution in progress.
The role: Technical Account Manager, Google TV
Our relationships with external partners should run like well-oiled machines, and Google's Partner Solutions Organization (PSO) makes that happen. PSO's Technical Account Managers are technology consultants and liaisons between our external partners and Google's Engineering, Product and Partnerships teams. In this role, you flawlessly lead deployments, implementations and integrations of a variety of our product lines (like Wallet, Shopping/Offers). As the resident technical expert, you also work closely with the Partnerships team to monitor our products' performance for our partners, you develop tools that address partners' technological and business needs and you identify opportunities that scale and grow Google's partnerships business.
* Responsibilities:
- Be responsible for technical execution of strategic partner relationships within Google TV.
- Be responsible for end-to-end launches of Google TV devices with device and silicon manufacturers.
- Perform implementation reviews, evangelize new product features, and ensure the prompt and proper resolution of technical challenges.
- Improve product feature offerings by providing partner feedback to internal cross-functional teams including Product Management and Engineering.
- Guarantee the technical aspects of a partner’s integration (both new and ongoing) by providing necessary documentation and technical guidance.
* Minimum Qualifications:
- BA/BS degree (In lieu of degree, 4 years relevant work experience).
- 4 years hands-on experience with consumer electronics products and technologies.
- Knowledge of, or experience in C/C++, Java, Python, and/or Android/Linux.
* Preferred Qualifications:
- MBA.
- Experience with external customer or partner-facing communication.
- Excellent project management skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work well in a cross-functional team environment.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Strong communication skills and ability to speak to business stakeholders, with fluency in English and Mandarin both spoken and written; good to have knowledge in Cantonese as well.
