2. 2024학년도 공과대학 현송국제장학프로그램 장학생을 아래와 같이 선발을 안내드립니다. 대상 외국인 유학생 중 신청을 희망하는 학생은 2024. 5. 7.(화)까지 학부 행정실로 관련서류를 제출해 주시기 바랍니다.

 가. 추천인원: 학과(부)별 최대 2명 ※ 공과대학 선발인원: 4명(기계 1명, 재료 1명, 공대 2명)

  나. 추천자격

          1) 개발도상국 출신으로 석사 또는 석박통합과정에 재학중인 외국인 유학생이며 학업역량이 우수하여 학과(부)장의 추천을 받은 자

    2) 직전학기 평점평균이 3.1 이상이며 2개 학기 이상 수학기간이 남은 자

    3) 기업 및 타 재단 장학금 등 중복수혜를 받지 않는 자 (교내장학금, GKS 수혜자는 지원 가능, 선발될 시 이중수혜 가능)

    4) 경제적 곤란 사유로 학비 조달에 어려움을 겪는 학생을 우선으로 추천 요망

다. 지원내용: 연간 학업장려금 2,000만원(자격요건 충족 시 최대 석사 2년, 석박통합 5년 지원)

라. 추천기한: 2024. 5. 10.(금) ※ 추천자격 충족자 내부심사 및 장학실무위원회 심의를 거쳐 최종 선발

마. 제출서류

          1) 학교양식: 장학금 신청원서, 추천서, 개인정보활용동의서, 추천대상자 명단(담당자 작성)

          2) 별도양식: 자기소개서 및 학업계획서, 성적증명서, 통장사본

바. 유의사항: 장학금 수여식은 2024년 9월 또는 10월 개최 예정이며 장학생 필히 참석

Call for 2024 SNU ENG Hyunsong International Scholarship Program

The Hyunsong Education and Culture Foundation was established in 1975 with the aim of supporting academic research, youth development, and sports talent develomentas well as fostering competent individuals through various scholarship programs. In order to cultivate outstanding international students who will lead the development of their respective countries, the SNU College of Engineering (ENG) announces the call for the SNU ENG Hyunsong International Scholarship Program of 2024.

1. 2024 Program Overview

          ∘ Selection period: May ~ September 2024

          ∘ Applicants: Master’s or integrated master’s and doctoral program international students from developing countries

          ∘ Recipients: 4 (one Mechanical Engineering, one Material Science and Engineering, two other Engineering Departments)

          ∘ Support details: Annually 20 million won per person (paid in installments in August 2024 and February 2025)

2. Application Instruction

A. Eligibility

  - A person from a developing country* who has excellent academic ability and has been recommended by the head of the Department

  * Countries in DAC List of ODA Recipients below

  - A person who have a GPA of 3.1 or higher in the previous semester and have at least 2 semesters of study remaining

  - A person who do not receive duplicate benefits such as scholarships from companies or other foundations (except on-campus scholarship, GKS scholarship)

  - A person who have difficulty financing tuition due to financial difficulties

B. Recipients: 4 (one Mechanical Engineering, one Material Science and Engineering, and two other Engineering Departments)

  - Up to two people can be recommended per department, and will be reviewed by the College of Engineering Scholarship Committee

C. Evaluation: Comprehensive review of academic achievement (Merit-Base) and financial need (Need-Base)

D. Process

- Scholarship applicant: Prepare the required documents and submit them to the administrative office of your department

- Department staff: Submit a list of students to the Student Administration Office by Friday, May 10, 2024 (Applicants should submit their documents to the CSE admin office by May 7th, 2024)

E. Support details: annually 20 million won per person (paid in installments in August 2024 and February 2025)

* The support is expected to be provided for 2 years for the master's program and 5 years for the integrated master's and doctoral program students

F. Scholarship Award Ceremony: Sepember or October 2024 (Recipients’attendance is mandatory.)
