This talk will first overview recent research problems in time-series analysis and recommender systems. After that, I will present dynamic temporal pooling techniques for time-series classification (published in AAAI 2021), and present techniques for learning heterogeneous temporal patterns of user preference for timely recommendation (published in WWW 2021).
