Hyundai Motor Chung Mong-Koo Global Scholarship for Fall 2024

We are pleased to announce the call for Fall 2024 Hyundai Motor Chung Mong-Koo Global Scholarship. Please see details of the scholarship below and apply within the designated period.

1. Hyundai Motor Chung Mong-Koo Global Scholarship

This scholarship is given by the Hyundai Motor Chung Mong-Koo Foundation to foster outstanding graduate students and enhance mutual friendship between ASEAN countries and the Republic of Korea.

2. Eligible Applicants (must meet all the below requirements)

    -Status: Graduate students who have admission to Seoul National University for the Fall 2024semester
    - Nationality: Vietnam, Indonesia, Malaysia, Thailand, Philippines, Myanmar, Cambodia, Laos (not applicable for those who hold Korean dual citizenship)

- Major: Business/Economics, Future Industries (Intelligent Information Technology, BioHealth, Climate Technology & Energy-related fields, etc.), Korean Language/Korean Studies, Policy Studies/Public Development

3. Scholarship Benefits

- Full tuition coverage (including admission fee), monthly living allowance of 1,000,000 KRW (12,000,000 KRW annually), one-time settlement allowance of 2,500,000 KRW, and one-time graduation encouragement allowance of 1,000,000 KRW (upon successful completion of degree)
- Invitation to Foundation scholarship events (exchange camps and seminars)
- Participation expenses for overseas academic conferences, and additional scholarships (separate notices and guidelines will be given)

4. Scholarship Period (supported within the normative period)

    - Master's degree program: maximum 4 semesters

    - Combined master’s and doctorate program: maximum 10 semesters

    - Doctoral degree program: maximum 8 semesters

  ※ Scholarship recipients must have a 3.3/4.3 GPA at the end of semester to continue eligibility for the second semester.

  ※ Scholarship recipients are not allowed to receive other scholarships at the same time, except for cases where the recipient receives a work-study scholarship or a BK21 scholarship, or a one-time given scholarship

5. Required Documents

    - Application form (use attached form)

    - Consent to Collection, Use, and Disclosure of Personal Information (use attached form)

    - Academic Transcript and Graduation Certificate (for Doctoral degree students, both Bachelor’s and Master’s)

    - (if applicable) work certificate, language certificate

6. Deadline

    - Submission to OIA by an electronic official document from the applicant’s college by July 10th, 2024
 - Therefore, applicants are required to submit their documents to the CSE admin office(Room 316, Bldg. 301) by July 3rd (Wednesday), 2024.

      1) Submit required documents to your designated college’s administration office (see list below for details)

      2) Please contact the administration office of your designated college regarding submission deadlines to your college’s administration office.

* Important: Early submissions are strongly recommended so that the college’s administration office can prepare to submit your documents by an official document to the OIA.

8. Screening of Documents: During July 2024

※An interview with the Hyundai Foundation Office will be held to those who passed the 1^st level of screening

9. Final announcement of results: During late July 2024to be announced by e-mail (only those who passed the final screening will be contacted)

2. 현대차 정몽구 글로벌 장학재단에서 2024학년도 2학기 외국인 장학생을 아래와 같이 모집하여, 해당하는 외국인 신입생 분들이 지원할 수 있도록 안내해 드립니다.

  가. 지원자격(동시충족)

    1) 본교 대학원 학위과정 신입생(2024학년도 2학기 입학예정자) 중 베트남, 인도네시아, 말레이시아, 태국, 필리핀, 미얀마, 캄보디아, 라오스 국적자(이중국적자 제외)

    2) 경영/경제, 미래산업 이공계(지능정보기술, 바이오헬스, 에너지신산업 분야), 한국어/한국학 전공자

  나. 지원내역

    1) 등록금 전액, 학습지원비 월 100만원, 정착지원금 250만원(최초 1회), 졸업격려금 100만원(최종 1회)

    2) 국내 학생과의 교류 캠프 및 세미나 등 각종 재단 장학행사 초청(재단 공지)

    3) 해외 학술대회 발표 시 참가경비 지원, 글로벌 우수 장학생 포상(추후 공지 예정)

  다. 지원기간: 정규학기 이내 석사 최대 4학기, 석박사통합 최대 10학기, 박사 최대 8학기

     ※ 매 학기 성적심사를 통해 지속지원 여부 결정

  라. 선발(예정)인원: 2명

  마. 지원방법: 2024. 7. 5.(금)까지 학생행정실에 공문 제출(원본서류 별도 제출 불요)
